Your Innovation Strategy Isn't Working: Could Venture Studios Be The Fix?

Every Fortune 500 company wants to be innovative, and your earnings updates and annual report are probably filled with the word “innovation." Maybe your company has launched an incubator. Maybe you’ve invested in an accelerator. Maybe you’ve even stood up a corporate venture capital fund.

And yet, what do you have to show for it?

For most large enterprises, I've seen that the return on innovation investments can be frustratingly low. Despite pouring millions into the ecosystem, corporate innovation efforts often fail to deliver real, measurable ROI. Startups fail, investments underperform, strategic alignment fizzles and you’re left with slide decks and press releases instead of revenue and impact. The reason, from my perspective, isn’t that innovation is dead, but instead that the traditional corporate approach to innovation is fundamentally flawed.
